The Winegrowers Association of Georgia will hold its first Winter Wine Highway Weekend. This is a great time to visit the mountains and take a break from all the holiday hustle and bustle. Plan to spend a couple of days in the mountains and do your Holiday Shopping at our Wineries, or at our many Affiliate members while staying in the great B&B’s!
Purchase your "Passport" to tastings at our nine participating wineries, and Register for a drawing for one of our many prizes. Collect an Ornament from each of the wineries as a souvenir.

Highway Special Events:
Sharp Mountian Vineyards
Each customer will draw for wine, merchandise, or a "Fact/Fortune" ticket. We will also offer gourmet food samples and complimentary winery tours.
Tiger Mountain Vineyards
Will have live music, and specialty cheese from Sweet Dairy which is made locally in Georgia. On Saturday, we will offer "Soup and Wine pairings".
Wolf Mountain Vineyards
If you were one of the lucky people to visit Wolf Mountain Vineyards during the spring Wine Highway Weekend, then you tasted our 100% Estate Grown Cabernet Sauvignon out of the barrel. This remarkable wine gained so much popularity that we broke tradition and bottled 100 cases of this Varietal Cabernet. It is ready for release and will not disappoint. You will be able to taste it along with the new release of the 2007 Instinct and Claret, all availble for purchase.
Vineyard Cafe: Lunch will be served Thursday, Friday and Saturday December 10th, 11th, & 12th fom 12:00 - 3:00 PM
Gourmet Dinner: Join us for our "Holiday Gourmet Winemaker Dinner" Saturday December 12th at 7:00PM. 6 course gourmet dinner with wine parings. $80 per person, all inclusive

Our shop, Persimmon on the Square, will be open also on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to sample all 5 of our wines. This is an opportunity for the public to enjoy our property at their leisure. Our sheep will be on their best behavior!
The Vines Restaurant

The Lodge at Tallulah Falls
Where most every winter weekend is a Winter Wine Highway Weekend. The Lodge offers Friday night arrival dinner featuring local wines and great fondue. Bring your guitar or banjo to participate "music happenings" that occur around the baby grand in our fireplace lit Lobby area. Saturday dinner can be arranged by our staff at either Glen Ella Springs or Lake Rabun Hotel. The Lodge will supply touring maps of local vineyards and art galleries and as scheduling permits will feature guest speakers from local wineries to guide you through a Friday evening wine tasting. Historic Lake Rabun Hotel
